Reserving an Academic Classroom
for an Extracurricular Meeting Time of a Class

Academic classrooms can be reserved for class-related meetings or events (ie: review session). Requests for these types of reservations must be submitted by a staff member in the sponsoring academic department.

Requests are submitted through an on-line reservation system. Once in the on-line system choose "Request Events" to submit a reservation request.

Reservation requests must be submitted at least 5 business days prior to the event. Requests for meetings or events requiring personnel (security, early building opening, etc.) should be submitted at least 12 business days prior to the event. Requests submitted after these time periods may be denied.

If your request is approved a confirmation will be e-mailed to you. Please remember your reservation is not final and your event location should not be publicized until you have received a confirmation from Campus Reservations.

Instructions for using the On-Line
Classroom Reservation System

1. Once on Astra Schedule choose "Request Events" to begin a reservation request.

2. You will be prompted to provide information about your meeting/event. It is important you provide all the information requested. Missing information may prevent your request from being processed in a timely manner.

Your organization and contact information will be added to the system based on the contact information you provided earlier in the request process.

3. After clicking "Continue" choose the meeting frequency or pattern which best describes your request. Fill in the appropriate dates and times for your meeting or event.

4. After clicking "Submit" review the meeting specifications you have created. If the information is correct click "Pick Rooms" and then "Describe a Room" (please do not choose "View All Rooms").

Describe a room
You will get a text box in which you can describe the type of room you need (please be as detailed as possible). Once you have finished your description click "Submit Event Request" and your request will be sent to Campus Reservations.
